Frogs Frogs Everywhere!!!

Judd and Brinley's new favorite thing is to catch frogs and turtles!

Right behind our house we have a couple of ponds. Needless to say, we have frogs everywhere. When it rains at night you can see frogs by the dozens all over the streets. One night Brandon said lets go play dodge the frog . So, we all got it the truck and swerved all over the road trying not to hit frogs. It's actually impossible. The girls loved it. But Judd cried and said we were killing all of his friends. It was a hoot!

The First Day of School!

We are excited for a new school year. It feels so odd to send your kids somewhere that you are not familiar with. We know it will be a great learning experience!

My sweet daughters started upper grade here. It's just like junior high, only it is 6th through eighth. I was so nervous for them. They both did great and were able to find all of their classes. It's so hard to let your babies start an older grade school. They have started making new friends. They have learned what it is like to be the new kid. They are also learning what it is like to be just about the only LDS kids in the school. There are great kids anywhere you go.

Judd and Brinley have found a few new friends in the neighborhood. This is Judd's new little friend, Dillan. He comes from a wonderful family and lives only 3 doors down from us. Dillan is also in Judd's 3rd grade class!

Brinley started 1st grade and loves her new teacher. She has also met her new friend Ella. She is a sweet little girl. She and Brinley get along really well. Brandon works with Ella's dad at Abbott. They live just behind us.

This is memory tag started by my friend Kim !
Here are the rules.1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable. If you don't have a blog and don't know how to sign in, please comment as anonymous.2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you back!3. If the memory happens to involve my husband, please include him!4. Please remember that your comments might be seen by another friend. Thanks!!

Nauvoo, Illinois 2008

Our family went to Nauvoo. Nauvoo is only four and a half hours from our home. It was such a spiritual experience. We got to see the pageant, tour Joseph Smith's home, and see many other sights. The pageant was about Joseph Smith and the saints coming to Nauvoo. Our testimonies grew and we left on an extreme spiritual high. We loved it!

Carthage jail was so humbling. The bullet hole is still in the door where Joseph was shot.

This is Joseph Smith's first home and his burial sight. Many members of Joseph's family are also buried here.

There are so many fun things to do there. Seeing the oxen and going on the ride was one of them.

The Nauvoo temple was lit up at the end of the pageant. It was beautiful!
